We take a lot of our inspiration from where our business started, in Hawaii, on a small farm on the island of Maui. In the islands, Pono is a Hawaiian word that means "to do what is right or do it the right way". Made from organic cotton and other plant-based fibers and created right here in the USA. Very comfortable but fabric dye stains underwear

I have skin allergies and (per recommendation of my dermatologist) I looked for organic cotton pants and bought these Pono Pants (brown). I loved that this is a company that produces in small batches.

Pros: I love the cut and comfort of these pants.

Cons: I am seriously concerned about the fabric dyes used. I have washed these pants separately 7 times and they still release dye. The first time that I soaked the pants in cold water, the water instantly became dark brown (in cold water?!!).
It does not seem skin safe. And it is not really sustainable (how much water does one have to use?). I used them once (after washing 7 times) and they stained my underwear. I am not sure I will use them.

I encourage this company to increase the quality of their dyes and monitor their operations associated with dyes.

Luana and Pono pant

Hello
I love the Luana pant it fits amazing I also have 2 pair of the Luana Capri and wish you had more sizes.
The Pono pant for me is a bit too form fitting and runs very small. I usually wear a small or medium if I want roomy but the medium is even small. I will wear them but not as comfy as Luana. I see Luana is close outs bummer because it’s the best Capri and pant I have owned for comfort and softness. Thank you for your amazing clothing and commitment to organic.

This body-hugging yoga Capri pant features a crossover-V waistband and narrow-cut leg. These popular calf-length capris come in three earthy colors. They feature a diamond gusset and stylish rear slits at the hem. They are snuggly soft, light weight and so comfy you may not want to take them off. Great choice for heated yoga classes.

I took a medium, not sure if it would be the correct size. The capri fits perfectly. I love organic, especially because I am sensitive to chemicals. Very thankful I bought them.

I love how these fit and fell. I have both the capri and pants. The pants are a bit short (I’m 5’4”) but I don’t mind. I bought several of each.
